Josh Mercadel is shaken up on the play six minutes into the match.

86 degrees at start time and the heat index makes it feel like 99 according to the Weather Channel. Ben Limbaugh makes a good save for the North squad early, but it's a stalemate in the midfield right now.

We have reached the 20' mark and it is scoreless at Snyder Field.

The South team breaks the deadlock with a goal on the half hour. Joseph Santos finishes off a fine setup by Travis Buis and rifles the shot past Ben Limbaugh for a 1-0 South advantage. Moments later David Kesling is shown a caution and the North withstands the South momentum.

Officials for today's match are: Bo Jones (R); Todd Danielson (AR); and Bill Sayer (AR).

Halftime: North 0-1 South

As we reach the hour mark the South stretches its lead to 2-0 as Brady Francis taps in a deflected shot taken by Dylan Guice that bounds away from goalkeeper Ben Limbaugh. Greg Stone started the play from midfield and the build up down the right touchline was a really good display of team work in the limited time the players have had together. The South has attempted 16 shots thus far compared to seven for the North squad.

Tyler Staub has a chance to finish off the North team as the South breaks down the far touch line on the pace of Dylan Guice. His pass through the center of the box is pushed wide by Staub who had Limbaugh rooted at the six yard box.
