How about give the #4 seed an option to bow out without a penalty/fine with the agreement of the #1 seed? Or defer to the #5 seed with the same option to bow out?
I am not sure how the #1 seed coaches view these games or if the #4 coaches and players would still like to play even if it is a rout. I imagine there are varying opinions and those opinions change year to year based on the makeup of the team. Do you take away an opportunity for a senior to play one more time?
Berkeley always shows up at the Wando games with a good attitude and has goals for their own victories. I especially like the one where they time how long they can go without being scored on. I don't see Berkeley opting out.
