I know the die-hard soccer traditionalists don't understand this...but even the teams that get by big margins in the playoffs deserve teh chance to compete! This isn't Europe or the professional ranks so having a system where schools can move up and down is not the answer! It is high school athletics and all schools should have a chance to compete-not just the ones that so called "soccer experts" think have a chance to win in the postseason! Yes, there were some very lopsided games last night, but that is usually the case in the first round of other SCHSL playoffs (football, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, ect) I am willing to bet that some of the schools that got beat last night had a bad game, had players injured, or just wern't mentally prepared and therefore lost..Maybe they are capable of much more, but for whatever reason it just didn't workout that way for them! Bottom line is you never know what is going to happen, that's why you play the game! How many of you had Butler in the NCAA b-ball final four in your office bracket pool this year? How many people believed that tiny Hickory High would win the Indiana State b-ball championship in Hoosiers???
