Good question, so I checked.
CSU clearly has the most Lowcountry players: 2 from Wando, two from James Island. They also have a player from Greenville and one from Spartaburg.
The Citadel has only two players from South Carolina on the roster: 1 from Florence/Wilson, the other from Lexinton/Lexington.
CofC has the most players (6) with state ties, but none from the Lowcountry. They are from Anderson/Wren, Irmo/Irmo, Simpsonville/Mauldin, Piedmont/Woodmont, Greenville/J.L. Mann, and Walhalla/Walhalla.
Maybe they ALL should look a bit closer to home, though The Citadel's unique demographic may make that difficult. And maybe my thought SHOULD have been that, judging by last year's state title, Wando may have some who will play college soccer.
