Dog,
Under what circumstance would you leave two girls from your premier team off the ECNL roster?

In the hypothetical example I gave, I didn't just leave them off. They still play full time Premier, but one of the girl's parents said they simply couldn't afford it financially. No problem, I still have a full 26 player ECNL roster. Another had a 1500+ SAT and so many demands on her time academically that she needed the time to devote to her academic committments. Again, no problem. Both are fully committed to the game and still play full time Premier League. And... I still have a full 26 player ECNL roster.

There are three girls from Fort Mill playing on the Lake Norman U-17 Girls team.

The SC '93 age group (now done) had two players from Hilton Head that played club for Concord Fire Elite in R3PLE. Parade All American and National Team member Morgan Brian plays club for Ponte Vedra, Florida, but is from St. Simons Island and a member of the GA ODP team. Alex Ramsey and Ellie Smith both played a lot of club outside SC but were members of the Region III team as SC ODP players. Of course, all of those selections on the girls' side were made by college coaches... not club coaches. There was a time in SC ODP (at least on the girls' side) that no player was allowed to wear anything that identified the club they were playing out of. Club affiliation SHOULD NOT influence the selection process, at least not ideally.
