Conehead, if you're suggesting that the 5th best HS team in South Carolina (who would probably have a fair chance at winning the Viking Cup) is even close to the level of the teams in the 'B' bracket of ECNL, then you're extremely uniformed. By the way, teams are placed in the 'A' or 'B' bracket of ECNL based on how they performed the year before in the ECNL. In other words, teams in the 'B' bracket were not in the top 20 of the most competitive league in the nation. They were in the 2nd 20 of the most competitive league in the nation. Except, of course, in the U-15 age group where teams are placed randomly for their first year. For all we know, at U-15 the best team in the league is in the 'B' bracket.

And yes, right now 229 college coaches are registered to attend the Dec 4,5 and 6 event in Raleigh. I would think that number will be above 300 by the time the the first game actually starts. So I would think that there will be a few more coaches in attendance at an ECNL event then at the preseason HS tournament.
