Nice weekend in Raleigh. Freezing cold and played Saturday afternoon in the snow. Field was white by the time the game ended.ECNL games cancelled Sunday due to the 2-3 inches of snow on the ground.

Interesting that the USYS National League games played in Wilson were not cancelled on Sunday.

My guess is that the USYS games being played in Wilson were league games not just CASL tournament games. USYS probably needed to try a little harder to get the games in. It will be interesting to see how ECNL reschedules the canceled games of Sunday, as those games were also league games not just CASL tournament games.

The reality is, youth soccer has morphed into a 24/7/365 deal, with all that entails. If you can't/won't play in snow and cold, don't schedule games in December. If you're worried about cancellations, pick up your marbles and stay home.

I think that you may have dates confused. USYS National League "League Games" were played Nov. 18-21 in Wilson. No weather problems except a little cold.

The USYS National League "Teams" were definitely in Wilson this past weekend. Don't know if they were actual league games or just tournament games.

Four days of USYS National League league games began Thursday the 2nd. Here's a link to how they handled day 4 (today)...

My Bad. I was referring to the USYSA National League Boys. Confusing with the girls in USYSA National League and the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).
