This thread (and I started it!!) is NOT about player development, individual or otherwise.
It is about team/club performance.....specifically at State cup in the u15-18 age groups, where for two consecutive years one club has won everything.
The question is......is that good? Does it reflect a healthy state system? And what should the clubs not winning, do differently?
I agree that parents leaving team A to go to team B and then on to Team C strictly becasue of winning isn't the greatest strategy. But thats not what we're talking about. A trend has clearly developed in this state in winning Cups. Its NOT about parents......its about clubs. CESA is winning everything. What are they doing that other clubs aren't? If I were a parent at another club and had a competitive kid....I would be asking the club what we need to do to differently?
Those are the questions I'm posing to the forum to try and spark discussion. Better development?> What does that look like? Recruiting? How to hold onto your clubs own kids? Better competiton? What do we need to do?
On the boys end I understand the reasons (Academy) On the girls end.......not sure I understand why.
