Has anyone heard what the status is of hiring the replacement coach? Timeline or possible candidates?

Then they better find an interim coach. The NC forum is talking about the Lenoir Rhyne coach....and maybe the current Asst at CCU.

From the Myrtle Beach Sun News:

Paul Hogan, an assistant coach for the last decade at Colorado, is set to be named Coastal Carolina's new women's soccer coach.

Hogan was one of more than a dozen candidates interviewed for the position by CCU athletic director Hunter Yurachek, who was not available to comment Wednesday night as the university had yet to formally announce the hiring.

Hogan replaces Tammy DeCesare, who resigned at the end of November after one season with the Chanticleers.

During Hogan's tenure as an assistant coach with Colorado, the Buffaloes made six NCAA tournament appearances and won the 2003 Big 12 championship.

Check back tomorrow for comments on the hiring.

Rumor at the mens game tonight some of the players in the stands were saying that the women's assistant coach will not return next year as Hogan wants his own assistant and his own players? I guess they just kept him there to secure that a mass group of recruits didn't leave? I thought Rich and Paul were a great pairing as I watch them in Charleston, and at Camp this summer. I guess 0-7-1 gets fingers pointing?

Very impressed with the number of Carolina kids, not. But I must say class looks strong and give kudos to those players attending the camp and showing their desire to play at Coastal. Hope it works out well for all as it was not to many years again when my daughter played at High Point and the Coastal women were very competitive.
