While the 5 missing are all good players and some I would rate very good, three are brand new to the team, so to rate all 5 as Riverside's best, at this point into the season is ludicrous! Several Riverside players opted not to play Club this past season, so all of a sudden, they are now much weaker players??? I beg to differ... In fact, they all look quite refreshed, and I would say the break was of benefit to them.

Ouch,after doing a little research on earlier threads by certain people looks like some riverside parents had a big time fall out with a certain club. why after such a long love fest. "Duh,WINNING."

I'm sure my numbers might be a little off but I think it went from a little over 40 players down to less than 20. What happened was someone turned the lights on and some players and parents realized their partner "Thee Club" was ugly. So what do you do with an ugly partner.. You dump them.

Very true but you left the lights off for how many years before you dumped that ugly partner, geez. I have a habit of dumping my ugly partner when i turn the lights on in the morning but heck that's just me. "Duh,WINNING."

snakeeyes bench S Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 20	Ilove, actually it was not just at Riverside that players decided to stop playing Club for this past season. There are players at Greenville, Christ Church, Mauldin, Eastside, Pickens, Hanna and probably some others...

Riverside has a tremendous class of soccer 2011 graduates so they would still be going to the Viking Cup even if some stayed on the ECNL roster their sr year. I would guess half of Riverside's starting line-up is seniors with club experience. It would be hard to believe that some of their best players aren't seniors when several of those players have been all state in their earlier years.
