I think he was pointing out that perhaps he pressed too early, effectively ending the match with two easy breakaways. Our coach used to hit the panic button like that and leave us out to dry for 30 minutes in big games because of just a one goal deficit. I never understood that!
We didn’t underestimate them. They were a lot better than we thought.
