Gamecock soccer player Chipper Root Injured

Freshmen star forward Chipper Root suffered a lower leg injury yesterday in practice. X-rays showed a cracked tibia and he will be in a cast for 4-6 weeks. Recovery time is 4-6 months. No surgery was necessary. Keep Chipper in your thoughts and prayers as he has a very bright future. I will give more updates as they come.

Heard that Chipper is having to have surgery today. Keeping him in our prayers and look forward to August with him on the pitch.
