Oh, and you also said this above

"She mentions she is going to UNC however none of the services have her posted as going there and if indeed she is going to UNC she will be the first non National team player in years."

Again, a little bit of research shows that there are 28 players on UNC's roster right now. I didn't have time to read all of their bios, but it only took me to get to the second player (Megan Brigman) to find a player that was a "non National team player".

It just really gets under my skin when people come on this forum and spout off statements as fact, when they really don't know what they're talking about.

Harry you implied that she was taking a different approach (skipping HS soccer)and just playing club ball and look what it got her, a scholarship to play at UNC. My point is very simple, yes she is the best female freestyle player I have ever seen, however she is an unknown in the elite circle of top female players. What makes you think that she can play 11 v 11 soccer due to the fact she can freestyle ?. She has little if any experience playing high level soccer (again these are just my observations). And yes its a great story either way.

The fine folks at UNC seem to think so. My point is, I'm going to watch her play first if I can before I call her a novelty or suggest that she won't make it at the school she's committed to.

Others are assuming she can't play without ever watching a game.

Not true Harry, it takes years and years of playing at the top level against the top players to make it to the top. Every top player knows who is out there, especially from NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN and this girl hasn't played club ball at the top level, that is a fact. And there isn't a single player at UNC without a storied soccer resume, period.

What's not true? That UNC thinks she can play? That I'm going to watch her play if I can? That I won't make assumptions about her ability not being enough unless I watch her play? That there are others (you) on this forum calling her a novelty and suggesting that she won't make it at UNC without seeing her play? What did I say that you just quoted wasn't true?

I'll tell you what wasn't true. You said that if she went to UNC, she would be the first non National team member in years. Not true.

You said that I implied that skipping high school and just playing club got her a scholarship to UNC. Not true. Nowhere have I mentioned skipping high school or scholarships.

You said that this girl hasn't played club ball at the top level. Not true. Her team lost 1-0 in the NC semifinal to Charlotte. Charlotte lost 2-1 to CASL in the final. Charlotte was 7-3-1 in premier league and CASL was 8-3-0. I'm going to say that her club team was good enough, probably better than some of the teams in premier league.

Again, you can't just say "that is a fact". You have to actually have facts.

rarely do kids come out of nowhere with no "pedigree" or history, but it could happen. anyway, if unc wants here, then that's really all any of us need to know, right?

her bio includes - 2011 Scotland U-17 NT Player Pool. i bet she's a player!

btw, where has the flair and creative play gone in college soccer? Its not so much the “beautiful game” anymore.

fyi - Taylor Player from SC is a 2011 unc signee.
