I'm sick of the Pinewood Prep bashing on this board. We have distributed good sportsmanship throughout our dynasty run that includes seven state titles.
We have played the best competition this state has to offer in a bunch of different tournaments and have never had this happen before. Is it unfortunate? Yes. Should we have honored our commitment? Yes? Are we being penalized fairly? I don't know because I think the forfeits are a bit much since they are asking us to honor the entry fee and that we have to buy t-shirts.
I remember a couple of years ago that Hammond's coach had a total melt down in a playoff game that we won and I thought that was a poor display of sportsmanship. Have you seen Cardinal Newman's coach behave? Geesh!
Anyway, we are taking our medicine but I guarantee you that we will be ready to play next month come playoffs.
