How? The original poster who apparently posted his first post in the history of SCSOCCER.COM decided to call out a HS Coach...how can you not assume he is talking about a HS coach considering HS is the dominant season right now? I seriously doubt there's much unethical recruiting of an 8 yr old academy player. Cool, there are some HS coaches who don't coach club. I get that. That's not what this is about...

This debate is about a club paying a HS coach (whether they coach for them or NOT) to persuade his/her HS players to pay to play (or not depending on scholarship situation) for a particular club and whether or not that should/could be allowed per SCYSA/SCHSL rules. If it is allowed I'll just go ahead right now and say that's poor (not unexpected in this state btw) and here's why:

I can just imagine as a human (not necessarily a "good" one but just your average human) many times more than not when someone or something affects the money flow to your wallet or your bank account you will have disdain towards whatever or whoever it is. Raise your hand if your happy being laid off, furloughed, or having a cut in pay. So say a player refuses to play for that particular club. Does he/she get cut? Are there consequences? Do they get their playing time revoked? Are they outcast from the team?
