The rule is that a coach of a high school team (including volunteer coaches) may coach an outside team sponsored by an outside agency (club, rec,etc.) as long as he/she does not have more than 8 of the current high school players on that team during the same season. The 8-player limit does not include players who did not dress out for any varsity games during the previous high school season...for example, someone on last year's JV squad, IF she did not dress out for ANY varsity games, would not count as one of the allowed 8.
