Its too bad some people cant leave it on the field ,like my daughter does!!She plays hard and aggressive...she gets marked every game by other coaches, players ,and opposing fans. She said the Mann coach told her tonite she d be a good player if she lost the attitude(during the game not afterwards). But when the game is over she shakes hands and goes about her business!!Its too bad the so called "grown-ups' cant do that!!Calling out players, fans, referees, does get old,and its really not good for the game!!

Are you saying goals from PKs and Free Kicks aren't legit goals?

I'd argue they are very legit, and, based on your information, Mann actually had three legit goals, one off a set piece?

All legit. Takes def skill to hit Free Kicks- set pieces- not as much on Pk's- maybe so when you add nerves. Who doesn't love getting a Pk?!

I agree completely! Set pieces (and defending them) take a lot of skill. And certainly the PK is much easier except for the pressure. I know a lot of parents who have a tougher time than their kids watching them take PKs.

Did the contact impair the offensive teams chance to score? Say bounce to defenders feet or make it clearable or deflect away from someone who could have scored? Were the arms out from the body?

I was told one of the ref's said she made her body "larger" and it hit her hand.

Ha! Is that what you are doing? Leaving it on the field?

How can a coach expect his/her players to behave if they fail to. Coach talking trash to players during a game, sad. No place for that from the "professional" who is supposed to be the adult out there.

True, true, but there is probably more to the story. Both coaches from Mann and Riverside have always been professional. Be careful not to slander.

Bottom line the Riverside and Mann Region is the toughest one in the state. Both teams fought hard and may see each other again- keep your fingers crossed! If it is playoffs they may even have a 3 man system!

Well either it was said or not I have no dog in the fight but would find it hard to think of when a coach should say that to a kid during a game, well maybe to their own player but the other team is not really supposed to be a target, may have been misinterupted but still .....

And if what I said is "true, true," the slander would come from it being claimed to have been said if it was not actually said.

Me neither, I agree, but I can't imagine any coach just coming out and saying that for no reason- always more to the story- always. Maybe those parents should dig deeper with their own kid.
