I don't really have a beef, like I said it does not involve me. A situation was presented to me and I was asked what I thought. One low country example (and this is from last year, I have no idea about the tryouts that just happened) was that Sville has near 30 u-9 players tryout and they kept 9 for one time. Now this parent wondered why there was not 3 teams and while I told her I did not know because I have never been a part of them I did agree that tryouts that make one team only at this age could be bad for kids of this age. I was assuming this parent was not complaining as her child was on the team but that she concerned that the focus was only on developing players that made the team. Like I said I was just seeing what everyone thought of this. I am not and have not ever been a member there so I can only go on the information I was given (right or wrong) I just thought it was an interesting discussion. All of us in the low country do things differently from club to club. Each do some things that are great, and some things that are head scratching. My intention was not bash any clubs but to have healthy discussion.
