Recently, one of my friends was told he was not eligible to play High School soccer because supposably he would be playing five years of it when he has actually only played three seasons. Can anyone clarify the rules of eligibility to play high school soccer and any possible reason this could have happend to my friend? Thanks in advance!

Simply put, from the time you enter the 9th grade you have four years to play, no matter if you skip a season (not like college red shirt) there also academic eligibility, resident eligibility etc.

And you cannot play in the fall in one state and the spring here... if I recall correctly

and your home jersey must be all white with no markings, logos, stripes or food stains for 4 years! haha
