The Friday night banquet held at the Holiday Inn-Mount Pleasant was very well attended as Dr. Tom Reilly, formerly of Wando HS, received the Dick Walsh Award, the S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association's highest honor for service to prep soccer, and Coach Scott Ruggles of Stratford HS became the 12th member inducted into the SCHSSCA Hall of Fame. In addition all North-South Soccer Classic players and coaches were recognized during the ceremony.
Saturday morning featured the 12th Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes North-South Soccer Classic Breakfast at the Holiday Inn-Mount Pleasant. Sponsored by J.R. Murphy, a Columbia-based attorney and long time friend of high school soccer who was the second person to receive the Dick Walsh Award in 2000, the FCA Breakfast featured guest speakers, Emmett Morgan (Lowcountry FCA Area Director), Hannah Gmereck (Wren HS / College of Charleston) and Ernest Smith (Seacoast Church).

The girls teams have arrived and the North squad will occupy the north end at the College of Charleston Soccer Stadium - toward the Arthur Ravenel Bridge - and will don red jerseys, blue shorts, and white socks. The South team will be located nearest to the scoreboard at the parking lot end of the facility and will be wearing white jerseys, red shorts, and blue socks.
