Congratulations to Pinewood Prep's Courtney Angotti-Smith on her state record 221st goal on March 20, 2012. Per the NSCAA website, this ranks among the top 10 of all time in high school:

Actually she tied it on March 20th. She broke it Weds with two goals bring her to 222. She has a shot at being #2 all time - Nice work Courtney - keep up the great work - we are all proud of you!

Great to see a team player also set an individual record. Awesome skills keep it up!

Coach Tim -

Not sure I think she is at 223 - I think she has only played one game since my last post. (she was off for spring break and then she suffered a minor head injury against Hammond and has rested this week - not sure when she will be back on the field). I think by the end of the season she will likely move to number 3 all time with a shot at number 2. The list of the top 6 is below:

Coach Tim - I stand corrected - she apparently is playing some games this week and has notched at least 7 goals since spring break putting her at around 230+ I believe! With a few league games and Academic Magnet / Bishop England left - I think she has a real shot at getting over 242. I will get the official numbers from the coach and pass them on and keep everyone updated.

Courtney notched 2 more today against Hilton Head Christian. Great game - ended in PKs with a Pinewood win.

She is at 232 - the coach did say she had received a new update from http://www.nscaa.com/ which has some other players not previously listed in the top 10. I will let you know once I see it - where exactly she stands.

Is the current tally of 232 goals only comprised of goals Courtney scored in 9th-12th grade?

Former Ram - I think this is all of her goals. I think she had about 42 during her 8th grade season.
