My point: The outcome of a single early-season match on a random weeknight MAY OR MAY NOT be relevant when predicting the outcome of a team's fourth match in four days.
Take all the factors you cited. Then, for fun, throw in the fact that you're playing on a postage stamp at The Cage. And don't forget, the bus commutation and/or hotel nights.
I think the Palmetto Cup is a great, fun event and unique test. Predictable? No. As a predictor of future success? Not really.
