Guardrail: You're right about the lower-classification kids deserving recognition. The gap just isn't THAT big. As to the AAAA school "everyone thought should have won," that was J.L. Mann, when the chips were down.
I'd also be the first to admit that, contrary to popular belief, Wando's reserves wouldn't win a state championship, or even a Lower State championship. 7-AAAA, this past season, yes. And almost definitely next year, when hapless Cane Bay replaces James Island in the region.

Between us guys, I have seen 9 of those 10 this year, missing only Eastside. No disrespect to Magnet, but I can't see them beating Irmo more than one or two times out of 10. And St. Joe's may be better than BOTH.
What I'm saying is, using ranking such as these to make a case for one team or another is an exercise in hot air.

Looking at the "usual suspects," Wando's reserves MIGHT be good enough to win in the Lower State NEXT YEAR. Certainly don't see anyone scary in the two Lowcountry AAAA Regions. Can anyone chime in on the Coastal/Pee Dee region, or the Columbia region in the Lower State?
