Catherine "Loranna" Austin, member of SCUFC's 99 Girls Elite team, was invited to participate in National Identification Development Program (id2) that took place April 11th-14th in Charleston, SC. She was the only player at the event representing South Carolina, and one of 52 girls born in 1999 or 2000 from 34 clubs (representing 24 states in all), with coaches and scouts from US Club Soccer's id2 Program, U.S. Soccer, college and club teams.
ID2 program provides an opportunity for the country's elite youth soccer players to be identified and developed, while also being scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccers National Team programs. The four-day event provided players with training sessions, games and off-the-field activities, giving them a chance to compete with some of the nations best players, listen to guest speakers, receive instruction from top-notch coaches and play in front of U.S. Soccer scouts.
Congratulations Loranna !!!
