The 2013 North-South Soccer Classic, sponsored by South Carolina United FC, will be held Sunday, June 23 at the Charleston Batterys Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island, S.C. Kickoff times are 12 noon for the girls all-star match and 2 p.m., for the boys contest. Admission is $10 and souvenir programs will be on sale at the games for $5.

The North-South Soccer Classic recognizes 72 of the top seniors from the Palmetto State and is one of two summer all-star soccer events hosted by the South Carolina High School Soccer Coaches Association. This years event marks the 20th time that the all-star games will be held in the Charleston vicinity as Wando High School hosted from 1989-2003, Bishop England High School hosted in 2004, and the College of Charleston hosted in 2005 and 2011-12.

For the first time ever, this year's Classic will be broadcast by Tourbeau Sports Group and will be available on a pay-per-view basis for $5.95 each match.

The boys event will celebrate its 25th consecutive season as the North leads the series with its South counterparts, 14-8-2. However, the South has won three straight in the series including last years 1-0 victory. The girls all-star match will celebrate its 17th season of this annual event with the series tied between the North and South, 7-7-2, including last year's 1-1 draw.

In addition to the all-star games, the North-South Soccer Classic participants will be recognized at a banquet early Saturday evening before attending the USL Pro soccer match between the Charleston Battery (4th, 25 points, 7-4-3) and VSI Tampa Bay FC (5th, 22 points, 7-5-1) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
