TOP STORY: The South Carolina 4A state playoffs were shaping up as a possible showdown between a trio of one-loss teams. However, by week's end, all of the favorites were eliminated and the Palmetto State is left with four squads with a combined 27 losses now vying for the 4A state crown in what is the most surprising semifinal group in state playoff history. The rash of surprises banishes former No. 1 Wando from the Top 25, and leaves the state with only one team in the top half of this week's rankings.
