You obviously have no clue about the kids that play for Wando. This team defeated Hilton Head (#3A); Academic Magnet (#1 1 and 2 A) late in the season and Dutch Fork (Top 5 in State); South Aiken (Top 10 in State); Lexington (Top 5 in State); and Mann (#1) in the playoffs. They were predicted by everyone to lose each of those matches.
They made the playoff run while having 3 Players out for all Playoff games (2 Starters); and losing 2 or 3 to injury during the playoff matches. Their were 6 out for the Finals and lost one early in the 2nd half. To state that one player dominated the matches to a point it is unfair to other players shows your ignorance of this team. She may be special but no more than special players on many other teams.
Every Wando Player put just as much time and effort into this season as every other player in the state. They struggled most of the season but came together as a TEAM late in the season.
If they had played their playoff matches like their mid season form they would have lost to Dutch Fork.
If numbers are such an advantage, how does Academic Magnet field such a fine dominant team? How about Riverside when at AA; then AAA and finally AAAA?
The fact is that Wando had their most difficult run through the playoffs in the past 5 years and were not as talented as past teams. Pat the Players on the back for their hard work and putting it all together at the right time. They beat a bunch of good teams. That is exactly what happened to Hanna Last season.
So please try to remember this is a game for the kids and not adults trying to rationalize a defeat they had nothing to do with other than root for their player.
