Just a thought...

There is always pushing, grabbing and shoving going on in soccer. Two girls plus one ball always equals contact.

The refs usually won't call it because that is all they would be doing all game long is calling it so unless someone really pulls on a jersey or something there won't be a call.

But retaliation is almost always called.

And one other thought...
Try watching a game from the sidelines or at least the sideline level. You will get a completely different perspective on what is and isn't called foul wise. I have seen obvious pushing in the back called by everyone in the stands, but the ref doesn't see it because he isn't looking down at the play and therefore can't see what the girls are doing with the hands or arms like people in stands can do.

The AD/Coach should get a document from the SCHSL on Monday with the official's written report of the incident. A school official (usually the coach or AD) is required to send a response in writing to the League, and the player who was penalized also has to write a response...that one, though, is of the "This is what I did and this is how sorry I am and how I realize it was wrong, and this is what I learned from my mistake" variety.

Skip has said on multiple occasions that he encourages people to provide evidence on a disputed situation, but without video there is very little he is able to do. I think his exact words from the last rules meeting were, "The first thing you have to ask yourself when deciding to call the League is, 'Is there video of the incident?' If there isn't, then I think the next question you have to ask yourself is, 'Why not?'" He then went on to encourage us to video every game for situations just such as these.

Sorry your daughter got caught up in the situation!

I've got good news and bad news...

As everyone knows, if the ref pulled red and yellows on jersey pulling during a game it would be 3 vs 3 by second half.
