Do the stats of goals, GAA, and shutouts truly reveal a goalkeepers individual ability? I do not believe that these are individual statistics because they favor a goalkeeper on a good team. What about saves or save percentage (shots on goal vs goals)? Wouldn't this be a more impressive statistic to look at when thinking about goalkeepers?
