You should correctly say that a boys team wins state championship while being a dues paying member of an association that has ranked them #1 academically among its other dues paying members- same with NSCAA All Americans, players of the year etc- they are NOT representative of the entire soccer playing community only a portion that shows patronage to them

I don't understand. How do you expect to receive an award if you are not a member of some type of organization? Can a Southern Wesleyan or Columbia College player receive an award from the NCAA if they aren't members (they belong to the NAIA)? I know they don't qualify for awards from the Big 10 or Southeastern Conference.
Same thing with high school sports. How could someone expect to be recognized if they aren't a member of that association or organization? A player at our school received a NSCAA All-State Certificate because our Coaches Association is a member. I don't remember that ever being done before and what a nice tribute!
I know, personally, that I am good in my profession but I won't get recognized "professionally" unless I am a member of such clubs and organizations.
