Was told by a few referees the rules from the HSL state that a Varsity game will last 80 minutes or 2 - 40 minute halves. "Extra Time" or any other wording isn't allowed. The only time we can truly add time is when injuries have occurred that have cause massive delays.
So from the way I took it was, clock time is almost Exactly like college. Which besides injuries, runs by the scoreboard and ends exactly on time.
