Whale Branch is a small 2A high school in the general area of Hilton Head. Ben Wallace is the real deal. I played GKer in college and have coached at the college level. I thought Ben was technically perfect and about as good tactically as anyone could expect him to be. I spoke with his coach before our game... a game in which that kid single handedly kept us scoreless for 15 minutes. Ben grew up in northern Virginia. Those in the know are aware of the high level of soccer in that area. His family relocated to South Carolina. He will be playing at Queens College in Charlotte... a very good D2 school.
