We had a meeting with Skip yesterday before the games. We would have to wait until they actual numbers and region alignments came out to determine how many teams we have in each classification that play soccer. Also, we will be moving from 7 championships to possibly 10 championships. That may involve playing on a 3rd day.

If girls had a 1A Division, I'd be shocked. I don't know how it could be done

My understanding is that you have to have a minimum of 16 schools fielding a team in your respective classification in order to have your own championship game. Not sure if that will change under the new realignment though.

Would rather have 3A boys/Girls followed by 4A Boys and Girls

Not sure what the gender based division does for anyone. Teams drive for most part versus busing so transport savings is minimal. Having girls one day and boys the other give each "their day".

Of greater importance in my mind is rotating the venue among upper, mid and lower state PURPOSE BUILT GRASS FIELD SOCCER STADIUMS.

Playing on a rug with three sets of lines painted on it is just not in keeping with the integrity of the game.

Dude, they just played the FIFA WWC "on a rug". Granted most of the fields in the Columbia area have multiple lines but at least it's a good playing surface! And no one can dispute the merits of River Fluff stadium. I think having the Boys A, Girls AA/A, and Boys AA games would benefit the crowds on hand especially when you can have the AAA and AAAA matches the following day.
