I don't know where the stats came from for the Girl's AAAA Championship, but there are a few errors. When I saw the stats I said to myself "there is no way Wando outshot Mann" in that match. So I went back and watched the match again online. Below are the stats as I recorded them for the match:

This really was a great match with two girl's soccer heavyweights throwing everything they had at each. Surprisingly, the first half was much more wide open; in the second half things really tightened up defensively. The only shot Mann had on goal in the 2nd half was the goal scored by Marian Wolski on 5 total shots. Wando had only 4 shots in the 2nd half with 2 on goal. Both keepers made one big save in the match with Karinshak's coming early in the game to keep Wando down by only a goal and Lynch's coming in the 61st minute to protect a 3-2 lead.

As for the officiating...fair at best for a few reasons. I thought the foul in the box leading to Wando's 1st goal by PK was a little soft. In a championship match I think that gets called only about 4 out of 10 times. The disallowed goal for offsides that Mann scored the 2nd half was wrong. Had to watch the video frame-by-frame because at full speed it's difficult to tell with the two players moving in opposite direction. A/R was in perfect position to see it though. I initially thought it was offsides as well. After the 3rd Mann goal, fouls flourished. Fouls that had been running even all match, started piling up on Mann with several non-calls on Wando. Prior to the goal for about the first hour of the match, fouls were Wando 9 and Mann 8. In the last 20+ minutes fouls were Mann 6 and Wando 3.

Thanks for looking all that up. I knew there was no way Wando outshot Mann. Also, the foul in the box was very soft and was only called to tie the game.
After Mann went up in the 2nd half, you could tell a real difference in the officiating. It became very 1 sided. At one point, a Mann defender was plowed into the ground, no foul called and she stayed there for 2 minutes and the ref never stopped play.
I don't know why they feel like they have to keep it close. If it was a better called game, Mann could have possibly won by 2 or 3 goals. They were definitely the better team and will be just as good or better next year.
The Mattison girl that is committed to USC might play (she will be a senior) and a Freshman national player that is as good as anybody that was on the field Friday will be playing. They only lose 3 starters.
Thanks again.
