Does anyone have any advice on the college recruiting process? My oldest daughter is looking to play in college but I am new to this. I heard about a showcase coming up in July in North Carolina that sounds like a good opportunity. Anyone else hear of anything?

If the Showcase is the one for TopDrawerSoccer it is a great event! My daughter went last year and really enjoyed it. There were lots of coaches and it was just one day. Very good for its value. Definitely worth it! Just sign up through their website topdrawersoccer.com

Showcases are good. I highly recommend one day ID camps, as well. More economical than summer camps and smaller numbers. They are a good way to get seen and to get a feel for the coaching staff/campus. Most colleges will have a couple of ID camps during the year.

I'm a little late seeing your post. Agree that ID camps are a great start. Also make sure your club coach knows your intent. They have a lot of contacts, obviously. Some may disagree, but I feel confident that ODP exposed my son to some coaches that probably would have never seen him play, as well as allowed him to compete with other high level players. He just received his first D1 soccer offer, and we're hopeful he'll receive others. We had a great ODP experience.
