I am curious as to how both divisions of the Palmetto Cup were able to be determined by points. The SCHSL has always required tournaments to be determined by a championship game. Has that requirement been changed?

Only preseason tournaments are required to have a champion produced via a championship match. The ruling changed two years ago, thus why tourneys such as the TaxSlayer Border Classic and the Smoky Mountain Cup have emerged as viable in-season options. The format used for this years NIKE Palmetto Cup was extremely well received.
