Someone tell me about John Odum. I've seen him play a good bit, with the United and with the Fire, but what makes him so great? I'm not doubting his abilities, but he's never shown me anything spectacular. He's a VERY solid defender, but he's SO slow.

His speed is no worse than average for a sweeper. He didn't lose ONE footrace all year. What makes him so great is not just the fact that he's got great field-vision, but that he's ALWAYS in the right place at the right time. When the other team gets a corner or a deep throw-in, it's pretty much already known that John's gonna win the ball. If you saw the game against NW in last year's playoffs, you'd probably have an easier time understanding. He's pretty much a second goalie, only he's not allowed use of his hands.

His gayness is his only weakness, but we're still working on that.

game should be a Blackbaud or the Graveyard in Columbia or may even Furman Univ.

Why? We've got a great facility here at BE and next year's game is supposed to move to the College of Charlestons stadium, so I've heard. Carolina's stadium is awful. Furman too far for most of the state and Blackbaud too expensive or hard to work around their home games.
