to compare jamal and tomek in highschool soccer is not a good comparison. Tomek is a great player that played in 1A for a great team. Jamal is a great player that plays for a good team in 4A.

No problem. Forget about high school and look at the two players as 16 year olds. Jamal has had a great career , no doubt. Been on a national finalist club team, been part of a regional team that traveled to South America, but was not a member of the full Region III team.
Tomek was a member of a National Champion Club team, won the Golden Boot award that year, and was involved with the National team. To add to that, as a freshman at Duke he started on a final four team.
In no way does this distract from Jamal's ability as I think he is a very dynamic player, but it is premature to say he is the best player to ever come out of South Carolina.
If you are looking at high school numbers, then you have to throw in Troy Lesesne, the kid from Myrtle Beach years back, etc... but I would not say they are in the same league as Tomek or Jamal for that matter. It is subjective, but if you are looking for a proper soccer player with great technical and tactical ability, then Tomek is without question the best player from South Carolina arguably ever and his arena was not S.C. high school soccer. If you think the best players are dynamic, explosive players, Jamal is a good fit but so is Eric Bafour. At this point of their careers, I would say that neither of those players was as complete or polished as Tomek though it could be argued that they may both have higher upsides.

Lesesne was from West Columbia, Brookland-Cayce to be exact. He has excelled at High School and College, now playing for the Battery, I am sure he will excell there also. The best player in my opinion is the one who continues to grow in the game, not peak in high school or college, then it's over. Lesesne works hard, loves the game, and has the ability, those things put him in the catagory of best SC player ever.
What will Jamal do? We will see....

The kid from MB was Steven Busch. He does not count due to the fact that he was an exchange student from Germany. He was a heck of a forward.

AH. Sorry. I know Troy's background. The comma after his name was meant as a list, not an appositive.
Thanks Will. That's him.

Dexter, thats great about Tomek, but he will still be the second best player from South Carolina, to ever play at Duke. The BEST was Andy Kwon. Get your facts straight. Tomek, is not the best player to ever come out of South Caroilina, thats not even close. Troy, was also a all-america at CofC. Tomek, couldnt even get it done in Columbia, this year on a final four team.

Yo man, Just because you say it is so does not make it so. Tell me why Andy is the best player. Give me some stats, resume, etc...
Did he play on a national team. Tomek did. Did he win the golden boot award as the best footballer in his age group. Tomek did.Was he a national champion? Tomek was. Don't tell me show me, otherwise shut up.If you are going to jump in to this ace come prepared because you are wasting my time. Silly rabbitt tricks are for kids.

Yeah was on the U17 National team and a captain at Duke University. He also played in the National Championship game while at Duke, when UVA was ruling the roost. Tomek, is a good player but being his father doesnt give you the right to claim hes the man. Easy Tiger.

I can't take credit for Silly Rabbitt. Of course there was the Trix cereal, but I'm referencing the obscure song "The Rain" by Orrin"Juice" Jones. If you had ever heard it, you would get the gist of it.
If I'm Tomek's daddy, you're Andy's mama.
