No problem. Forget about high school and look at the two players as 16 year olds. Jamal has had a great career , no doubt. Been on a national finalist club team, been part of a regional team that traveled to South America, but was not a member of the full Region III team.
Tomek was a member of a National Champion Club team, won the Golden Boot award that year, and was involved with the National team. To add to that, as a freshman at Duke he started on a final four team.
In no way does this distract from Jamal's ability as I think he is a very dynamic player, but it is premature to say he is the best player to ever come out of South Carolina.
If you are looking at high school numbers, then you have to throw in Troy Lesesne, the kid from Myrtle Beach years back, etc... but I would not say they are in the same league as Tomek or Jamal for that matter. It is subjective, but if you are looking for a proper soccer player with great technical and tactical ability, then Tomek is without question the best player from South Carolina arguably ever and his arena was not S.C. high school soccer. If you think the best players are dynamic, explosive players, Jamal is a good fit but so is Eric Bafour. At this point of their careers, I would say that neither of those players was as complete or polished as Tomek though it could be argued that they may both have higher upsides.
