Wow Ghost. Someone alittle upset and touchy after the loss I see. I have not resorted to calling you names, but I guess I am the bigger person. I guess I am not allowed to have my own opinion about a player or team without getting personally attacked. I still stand by my beliefs, but will stop posting on these subjects.

Guys, Jamal is a very good player. There is no doubting his current and potential ability level. But, seriously, Tomek started for a Final Four Division I ACC Team??!! Not to mention all of the youth and club team accomplishments. I would think that he has accomplished as much if not more than any player from SC.

What about Troy Lesene? Hasn't he been productive enough? He played in the National Tournament and now is playing professionally.

What did Andy Kwon do? This is not rhetorical. I really don't know.

I think he went to Medical School after Duke and is now a Dr.....I think in NYC....could be wrong.

Look this discussion can go on all night. Both are great players and I am proud to have come from SC.....

Coach.....tell you what I will take Troy and J any day of the week....good point.

GW 18.....NICE good points....Lower I am proud of you for being the bigger man!!! I have trouble being that most of the time!!!!

Shearer

I have had no problems with you. you believe that Jamal and Andy are the best players from SC ever. I tend to disagree. Thats the beauty of living where we do.

You obviously had the pleasure of playing with Kwon. I think coach was asking about his playing accomplishments, ie All-ACC?, starter (how many years?), etc.

Shearer,
Since you are seem to be a Kwon expert, give us his bio. Tell us about his club accomplishments and what he did at Duke each year. Also give us his National Team and his international experience.

Why bother playing 6v6. Let's just go 2v2. I'll take Tomek.

Alright D*** ....I mean dex....here we go. You aren't going to change my mind.....Jamal is more of a player I would like to have. Just my opinion. Tomeck may have played for EVERY national team and club crap out there ...I DON'T CARE. I have seen him play....great player ...no doubt I would rather have Jamal.....

There is no contest here Kwon was a better player at the smae age!! Hands down. As for his bio he played at Spring Valley and for a club team called the Columbia Patriots. Bert Molinary was the coach. They won the "challenge" cup from u16 up....was not a single age group...this was mid 90's...Made semis at regional one year...Now tell me what SC team that Tomeck was on that won Regionals?National team pool all acc at duke....anything else email Bert.

I am sorry you don't agree w/ this but ...I really don't care.

Oh yeah....John Wilson(Seneca/Clemson) was just as good as them as well.

Troy L from BC is a Baller, Timok Suarez (Spelling is probably wrong) Baller who not only played both club and HS here in good old South Carolina but went on to be outstanding at UNC before playing on the Dallas Burn. Went from there to the Battery I believe. Andy K, Flat nasty however was more interested in academics then soccer. When I talked to him not to long ago he said he had a terrible time with the National team. (Wasn't Fun) He said he played for the fun of it and that was it and would only continue to do so as long as it was fun. His old club coach Burt Mullinary (Spelling again is probably wrong) is the current Head Asst. coach for USC. You could probably ask him what Andy did and he could tell you.
Tomek excellent player who played for the National Champions Atlanta Fire and is currently enjoying a great start at Duke playing with the likes of Blake Camp. (Dukes Best Player) in my opinion. What about Dave Smith? All American at Chapel-Hill and considered one of the best players in Chapel-Hill history and making the ACC hall of Fame. He currently lives in SC and even coached a team for Coastal Soccer Club. Is he a SC Boy? Im not sure but if he is then hands down has accomplished more then any of these other players.
I think the best player ever category has to go to the player who has done the most so to put a couple of 17 yr olds in that category is a bit premature. Jamal, Erik and Goose could, someday be that person but it is too early to tell. What about the young player who plays for Rock Hill Discoveries. Didn't he just make the National Team 2 years up? IF so then he will also be one to watch. I heard their team just beat CASL elite 4-1. Who ever you chose and for whatever reason you choose them the good news is it seems like SC is doing a better job of developing and producing these players.
LEARN HERE; PLAY HERE, STAY HERE, My hats off to Troy COC, Eric Furman, Mike and Jamal USC for doing just that.
