Summerville and Hilton Head tied for 1st place in region 8. We were dead even through all tie breakers used by our region which include: winning percentage and games won in non-region games, then tournament play. (There is a tie breaking system proposed in the HSL handbook which involves goals against that region 8 has not yet implemented.) SHS and HHHS were dead even throughout so the decision went a coin toss this morning. Tails was the correct call. HH won and gets 1st seed so the previous posts look pretty accurate to me.

It is too bad that number one could not have been proven on the field. Both Hilton Head and Summerville are excellent teams with quality players and good luck to both. I expect both to go far into the 4AAAA playoffs. Look out for Region 8!!

what about sumter over summerville sumter is under the radar team and could pull an upset in the first round

Not a chance. Sumter is not very good. I saw them play last year in our region and they're not good at all. Summerville should win by 3-4 goals.

Pryzbyla(sp) can keep Sumter in games. If Summerville doesn't come to play, it could be a dogfight.

I have not seen all of the teams in the lowerstate play this year, and virtually none of the teams in the upperstate, but from what I have seen the upper half of the lowerstate bracket is brutal. Irmo, Wando, Summerville and Spring Valley are four solid teams.

No disrespect intended to any other teams in that bracket or any other bracket, but the winner from that bracket alone will have shown something.
