Don't you think Batesburg Leesville will be some sort of a challenge, they didn't fair to bad against Emerald last year, if they can play with their SUPER A game during important games, i doubt they will do bad, but its questionable since i don't know much about their high school

I still don't completely understand how bishop england is playing in AA, aren't they a private school?

we will be a pretty young team this year..only two seniors..but a lot of our kids have talent..but we dont have too many players seeing as though the only thing that BLHS cares about is football..

AA is a division of South Carolina High School League, not South Carolina Public School Leage. SCISA is South Carolina Independant Schools Association, and therefore public schools cannot be in that league, but private schools can be in SCSHL. I would personally like to see individual sports get their own divisions, and for SCISA to be abolished. (But this has sort of been discussed to seemingly no avail multiple times).

The reason why Bishop England, a AA Private School plays with Public schools is because they pay the state money to participate in Public Sports, same thing with Christ Church and many other private schools (not too sure but this is what i hear everytime) and yes i hate it when football is always the major sport in a school. With us our football team won region for the FIRST TIME last year, and they get like plaques and a whole bunch of stuff, soccer wins region 4 out of 5 years, with the last 2 years being consecutive undefeated region wins and we get a t-shirt.

to me thats just ignorance to other sports that play better, even though football may bring in more money, soccer brings the fame.

So, a team can, in a sense, weasel its way around a rule to decide which division it plays in? Why is this allowed? I mean, BE recruits for their sports!

i mean in a way i guess it kinda suxx having them playing other teams when they recruit students to play in their schools. But i guess paying the state money keeps the state satisfied and therefore allows them to play with public schools. In a sense it does provide a challenge and since soccer is a very slow rising sport in the United States it makes it hard to compete every year with the same old school winning all the time. I am not born in the US and i was extremely impressed with Bishop England's style of play. They just pass and use their wings a lot, which kills teams that are used to counter attacks and attacking the goal from the middle. I see a lot of teams do this and many are just intimidated by BE because of their reputation therefore giving BE once again the upper hand.

To me its all about how you approach the game, if you slow it down, pass, and create chances patiently instead of trying to blast the crap out of teams, AA teams other than BE can be successful !!!!
