While we're on this subject, I'm all for JV matches being extended to 35 minute halves with no overtime during the season. Also would like to see Varsity games extended to 45 minutes with a pair of five-minute overtime periods during the regular season and no penalty kick shootouts until the playoffs (unless it's a tournament in which winners/losers have to be determined -- these would be recorded as ties officially). In the playoffs, the overtime periods would be a pair of 10-minute periods and a "sudden victory" five minute period. Region standings would reflect "the rest of the world" with a points system (3=win, 1=tie, 0=loss).
