By the way, my scenario would go as follows:
If two teams are tied:
1- head-to-head
2- Goals aggregate of home and away series
3- Goals away in series
4- Goals allowed in region
If more than two teams are tied jump to #3.
If all is tied......
Games against common opponents.
If still tied....
each team draws a card form a deck of cards, highest card wins, then the second and so on.
Or rock, paper, scissors. Anything will do.
