What are some thoughts on these games? Being the first times that they'll take the field its highly unpredictable how the games will go. But I just wanted to see if anyone had any insight before the games are played.

For my thoughts:

I don't see Lexington having much difficulty with Chapin, and I expect Lexington to jump into the top 15 soon (4-0 Lexington).
Magnet Stratford is probably going to be a close game, with the small high ranked school facing the big nonranked school (1-0 Magnet).
Don't know much about JL Mann and Wren, but I'm guessing that the 3a school will take it (2-0 Mann)

Lex CHS will be closer.

Things to remember...

Scrimmages are just scrimmages, a good coach is looking for something in the flow of the game not necessarily a W. The kids on the other hand should be striving to get the W. So the subbing and relocation of players may have an unexpected outcome, positive or negative. In either case a lesson was learned and fine tuning begins.

Therefore reading a lot into scrimmages is akin to saying the preseason rankings is accurate.

No one knows until the games begin.

These are some interesting thoughts. My pick on Chapin Lexington is more gut than anything, but also comes from talking to players on both squads on how they think they'll be. Another reason scrimmages aren't telling as much as they are building is because (for Ben Lippen and other private/smaller schools especially) teams are often missing players that are also members of basketball and wrestling teams, allowing for some playing time for younger players.
Ben Lippen Airport is set for 6:00 tonight, which should be an interesting kickoff to the preseason.

BenP shame on you.....already startng w/ the excuses.....haven't played one game and you are already giving the poor ole basketball excuse....is the skinny blonde hair kid playing? then you are fine!

Man will win 3-0. Chapin 2-1. BL beats Airport but they really aren't that good.

Ben P needs to get down to the coast to see some good soccer.

Striker(ted) If I read your posts correct you follow AC Folra(or another Cola based school) yet you want to call BL "Christians" and Airport "rednecks". Right? Last I checked the kids at Flora couldn't figure out if they were rednedks or daddys boys so they try and do both. We like to call them Wando Wanabes down here on the Mount.
