Futbol you obviously are a lex player or fan. Nobody in there right mind would have watched the game and said that lexington controlled the game. Chapin is not very good either and the way the dominated lex without 4 starters shows that lexington is a normal lexington team.
Wren 3 JL Mann 2 Both teams substituted heavily trying out players. It would be very difficult to judge the overall team abiities based on the scrimmage.
Irmo.... my playing days have long been gone, but I do know a little about the game. You will be playing both these teams during the season, you can make your own judgement then.
A Chapin player gave me a similar report to futbol's. He said that Chapin played great defense and finished their opportunities, but lexington probably had more possession during the game. Still doesn't tell a whole lot as its just a scrimmage, and during the second week of practice at that.
Irmostricker06 obviously wasn't at the game haha because if you went to that game you know that lexington had more shots and controlled the ball a lot more. Chapins keeper made a couple good saves that helped them win. Chapins coach also did not sub much at all and at the end of the game he started subing players in one at a time to waste the time so they could win. I think there coach wanted to win because of a foul that he thought was cheap early in the game.
That foul was unbelievably cheap. The chapin coach had 15 players to use(one of which was a back up keeper with stitches in his forehead so he couldnt sub in). Four of the 19 on the roster including the one injured in the first half were not able to play...all of them starters one of them a captain. The 3 available subs all got plenty of time in.
i've had a couple of people tel me that the chapin keeps where splitting time this year??? Both of them are very good.
Can anybody tell me why AC Flora lost so bad to Irmo??? For being ranked 13 in the state the toke quite a beating...I guess it just proves that preseason ranking are often inaccurate...
Well, they are 13th in 3a, not the state, I'm not sure if there are 15 teams in 3a that would keep irmo, sv, northwestern and Dutch Fork under 10 goals.
