Are those the only teams? That can't possibly give a good assessment of the balls. Maybe they should have asked a few more schools, and some that have potential to be using them in the championship match. Irmo, SV, Wando, HH, Dreher, Greenville, NW, etc.

Spalding. Spalding. Spalding. Spalding. Spalding.

There is no "U" in Spalding.

And there is no "I" in "team." And does the eponymously named character in CADDIE SHACKthe son who wants a cheeseburger at the turnspell his name with or without a "U"?

I'm sorry..but how hard can it be to find a new/better sponsor.

These balls are only used at the state championship, no? And they (Spalding) have a banner at the venue, no?

Is that not compensation enough? I'm curious how extensive this contract is.. 4-5 balls..for one day.. and they get advertising at the venue. (Plus ask coaches to demo/buy their balls..GIVE ME A BREAK!)

You never know though I suppose with the way people hand out contracts/money these days.. Maybe we can get Chico to do some financial investigation..

Let me clear this up please. First Wayne was good enough to help us along with Chapin and use some of the balls we looking at for the State Championships. We (SCSCA) and the SCHSL did not like the ball used last year. In a effort to improve the situation we experienced last year we wanted to use the product(ball) and check it out to see if it improved. The league has a contract to use that brand of ball. It will be discussed when the contract expires to see if it can be replaced. All this is done in a effort by the SCHSL and the SCSCA to improve the situation. We appreciate the Dutch Fork and Chapin helping with the situation. I've coached 30 years and and you are now seeing everyone work together to make all situations better. This has not always been this way so I appreciate this positive step.
