defender-17, the reason it looks so close is because we are only like 4 games or so into the season. Everything seems close now, around the half point of the season you will start to see about 3 or 4 teams making a run for dominacy. It is to hard to tell who those teams are at this point of the season.

NMB came out and got an early lead on WF
WF had some good chances just didn't finish.
WF has a good team and they play hard and physical. Coach Andrews has a Great Program at WF, Good luck the rest of the year.

Defender-17's quote: "there are alot of great teams in 4A...but does anyone get the feeling that 4A has been better in the past years?"

I think that individual talent has been better in past years, with more apparent D1 and D2 potentials. However, when it comes to strong teams that are balanced with skilled players, this year is as strong as ever.

I would tend to disagree...

I think that individual players that stood out in years past was due to the average player being less skilled.

I think these days the average level is greater for the bigger programs, therefore the number of individuals that stand out is reduced and the teams are better.

Examples: Spring valley, Lexington, Chapin, Dreher, BC, Ben Lippen, etc...
