That is determined by "service time" and membership with the S.C. Athletic Coaches Association and the S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association.

In addition to those parameters, some of the coaches in this year's event have already coached in the all-star event, such as Gwynne Armstrong, who served as a Co-Coach in 1999. Dave Kleinfelder has been a Co-Coach and Head Coach in this event, but both times were on the boys side and this will be his first appearance with the girls game.
