HH is at Colleton Friday and should go to 5-0. Fort D is at Summerville, which now is very important indeed and is a toss-up. Since Beaufort is at BC you could easily have three teamms at 3-2. It's notable that Beaufort and HH are 5-1 vs Region 7 while Summerville and Fort D are 3-3. If you combine the regions its:
Hilton Head 9-1 Wando 8-2 West Ashley 7-2 James Island 6-2 Beaufort 7-3 Fort D 6-4 Summerville 5-5
Look for Summerville to pick it up in the second half of region play. They could easily go 5-0 the second half if they can get by Fort D on Friday. Good luck to all these fine teams.
The intesting part is that when the play-offs start both regions are paired aginst each other. #1 vs #4 #2 vs #3 so region 8 #1 vs Region 7 #4 etc. It will be an fun first round.
Coach J, is region 5 paired against region 6, while region 7 is paired against 8 in the first round of the playoffs this year? Wasn't it 5v7 and 6v8 last year? or do they change it each year, how does it work?
What a great 1st 2 rounds of playoffs with regions 7 & 8. It should be very interesting to see who comes out of that group. But because they have all played each other I think there will be some pretty big upsets and a team that may be considered an underdog could easily emerge and represent those two regions in the lower state championship.
You did not read my post correctly futbol.. I have the play-off bracket in front of me. region 7 plays region 8 and region 5 plays region 6 in the first round. Please reread my post.
